World Achievement – Museum of Anthropology at Vancouver, Canada

The Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia (UBC) campus in Vancouver, Canada is renowned for its displays of world arts and cultures, also known for its unique seismic structure and “Green Building”. The museum is not only a major tourist attraction, but also many UBC courses are given at the museum and over 600,000 history artifacts are stored inside.

The seismic and earthquake engineering specialist Prof. Tony Y. from UBC and ACTS Technologies., has cooperated with multinational architecture consulting services, ARUP Group Limited in one of the world-class anthropology museum in both Canada and in the world. Prof. Tony completed the whole seismic structure analysis, and also in charge of the structure design, the project used base isolators which are perfect in this type of wide and short building.
